Ok - this is just insane anality in b-a, such that if you de-register a
non-registered component you get an assert failure; I've changed that to
a pre-condition in CVS. It's almost certainly not the cause of the BadGC
thing though.
The BadGC could be related to pathalogical component failure though -
since I think we need to trap this inside the Bonobo X Error handler
(which needs work to only filter children of known Sockets' windows
too).
