Cool. Not sure if this is even possible, but could sub-folders inherit this
property from their parent folder. For example if I choose to show hidden
files in ~/ then all folder within ~/ should also show hidden folders unless
their specific view property is changed and so on. This would actually be
really nice in general for the per-directory features (view, arrange by etc.)
