2 bugs: not displaying menus/toolbars, inutilitous tasklist entry

I am trying to run nautilus 1.1.16 or 15 or 13 and I have a couple of
bugs. First, my panel (not a gnome2 panel) displays .gnome-desktop in
the tasklist and such. I am not sure whether this is a panel bug or a
nautilus bug.

The other is that nautilus displays no menus or toolbars except the
sidepanel.
