I have set the path to "/usr/X11R6/share/gnome/oaf/" because
there are the Nautilus .oaf files - I hope that is correct?
I killed the oafd process always before starting Nautilus,
either with "oaf-slay" or with "killall oafd",but it didn't
help.
BTW, I had the same problem when I tried to use Ximian
Evolution and therefore I looked up the Ximian knowledgebase
but the solutions described there didn't work for me either.
