That sounds strange. Normally UI files would be in /usr/share/ui, not /usr/
X11R6/share/ui.

Did you build Nautilus yourself?

What prefix did you use for Nautilus? What prefix for Bonobo?

When you say that all UI files are in /usr/X11R6/share/ui, does thatspecifically include nautilus-shell-ui.xml?
