[Nautilus-list] Trash disappeared from desktop

I used to have a trash icon on the desktop. Now it disappeared, it isstill shown in the desktop directory of the file manager, but to accessthe trash on the desktop, I could only use a link, which doesn't offerthe same functionality.

Any suggestions?
