[Nautilus-list] Nautilus stopped working

I'm running Redhat 7.2 with Nautilus 1.0.4-43 using
sawfish-0.38-11 window manager. Nautilus used to work
just fine. I'm not sure what I may have done wrong to
cause this, but now when I try to start Nautilus, a
process starts but the window never appears. Even
stranger, when I try to kill the process, even with
kill -9 pid, nothing happens, even as root. The
process never goes away. 

Does anyone know where I can view log info for
Nautilus, or better yet, what the problem is and how
to fix it?
