EFM, Nautilus, desktops other then 0 in Enlightenment, I heard Konquerer does that as well, but can't confirm since I don't use KDE2.
Many APPS are creating their own desktop windows. The only problem is (IMHO) that Nau's drawing routines are too slow, and don't use multi-threading enough.
I hope this will be improved and optimized.
In fact, the window marks that are left on the desktop happen only when Nautilus hangs. And its not supposed to do that at all. When Nautilus runs smoothly, you don't see those marks.
