Could it be possible to add some kind of gadget to
increase the number of items in the tree view?
Like a trippledot at the end of the directory name
that can be clicked to unfold more items. First you
open the directory and get only subdirs, then you
get ordinary files, then you get hidden files, then
you get Santas inventory of playstations..

I've thought that to. How about allowing a key on the keyboard to move
the mouse from moving the pointer to scrolling the pane, a la Photoshop
and the space key (holding the space bar and moving the mouse scrolls
the document). What is needed is a very efficient way of moving around
the tree view.
