Excellent that worked to save the image!  Thanks.

Now the problem seems to be that "song.CoverImage" and "player.PlayingSong.CoverImage" are not passing anything.

I added "Console.WriteLine
 ("filename: {0}", buf);"  as line 72 in the code.  I may be stating it wrong but all I see output is:  "filename: Gdk.Pixbuf" from this statement.  Should I get something there?

This is the same error Muine itself had in its dbus stuff.  Instead of
using buf.Savev with two null arguments, just use buf.Save without the
nulls.  That should fix your problem.
