[Muine] releasing the sound device

Hi,

I am using Muine with GStreamer and ALSA (Mandrake 10.1). It seems like
Muine does not release the sound device when it is paused or stops
playing, so in order to listen to e.g. streaming audio, I have to quit
Muine. Is this intended behavior? Should I be using some sort of software
mixing layer (arts or esd)?
