[Muine] gtk-sharp-2.0

i have a problem when i try to compile muine 0.8.0. when i try to do 
./configure it fails with this message:

checking for gtk-sharp-2.0 >= 1.9.1               gnome-sharp-2.0 >= 1.9.1   
             glade-sharp-2.0 >= 1.9.1                gconf-sharp-2.0 >= 
1.9.1  gnome-vfs-sharp-2.0 >= 1.9.1... Package gtk-sharp-2.0 was not found 
in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `gtk-sharp-2.0.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'gtk-sharp-2.0' found

PKG_CONFIG_PATH is equal to /usr/local/lib/pkgconfig/ and there i have 
gtk-sharp-2.0.pc
any ideas? is gtk-sharp2 1.9.1 the version i need?
