I kind of like this idea, but I don't think this will be obvious to a
user, so either people won't realize that they can do this, or they'll
do it accidentally and not know what happened.

The volume control is consistent with the behavior of the volume applet,
so I think that behavior is more expected.  If there was an actual
progress meter this might make more sense to a user, but I think this is
being avoided on the main window.

So, I'm not strictly opposed to the idea, but I think that there might
be some confused people.
