I have modified it a bit to fix some compiler warnings.

It seems like we have progressed a lot since the 0.6.0 release.

We have imroved the architecture so that it can serve as a
ground to support several different editing views in the same editor,
our current (tree oriented) editing view can have several tree
editing widgets, and last but not least, we only have some few
gtk1 widgets left in the code. Hopefully they will be replaced by 
plain gtk2 widgets in a near future.

I think I will run a serious debugging session to stabilize the
code before the next release which should happen soon.
