Hi Tobias, the version requirements seem to be out of date.
There was some breakage in gtk's toolbar api which meant
made it awkward to suport pre2.4 and 2.4+
You'll need pygtk 2.4 or higher to run meld 1.0.0

If updating seems like too much hassle, 0.9.5 should work
with your versions. It has most of what 1.0 has.
