Summary: directory keyword doesn't work in mc.ext
Project: GNU Midnight Commander

Category: Menu and associations
Severity: 3 - Normal
Status: None

Open/Closed: Open
Release: 4.6.1
Platform Version: GNU/Linux

Details:
It seems the "directory" keyword is ignored in the mc.ext file, even though
the comments indicate
# keyword/descNL, i.e. everything after keyword/ until new line is desc
#
# keyword can be:
...
# directory (matches any directory matching regular expression desc)
This is with "GNU Midnight Commander 4.6.1-pre3" on Debian stable.
I would like to add an exception for files in /var/log/ which are
mis-interpreted as man pages because they end with numbers after rotation
(access_log.1, maillog.15, etc.)
I tried
directory//var/log
directory/log
directory/.*log.*$
and other variants without success.
