We are aware of this. We would love to use "file -z" instead of "file"
to use type for most cases, but sadly file is buggy with respect to
bzip[2] files. So we do need some work arounds until file gets fixed. A
real solution is on the TODO for 4.6.2 or 4.7.0 (maybe not written down
there yet, but discussed as such on IRC and on this list I believe).
