mc doesnt erases temporary files after closing

Hello,
In Mandriva's bugzilla is a bug listed about mc.
Mc doesn't remove temporary files after closing. It leaves temporary
files from tar archives in the tmpdir. This way it fills up the user's
home directory.
I tested myself, and I can confirm this behaviour with 4.6.1-pre3, with
and without utf8 patch.

Environment is set like this:
MC_TMPDIR="/home/marcel/tmp/mc-marcel"

The bug mentioned is at:

Can someone confirm this behaviour and possibly provide a fix?
