Hello!
NEWS file should mention that mc now supports iso images.
In my opinion, from the point of user's view this should be much more
interesting feature than any technical detail I can found in NEWS
currently.
As for me, the iso support was the main reason to upgrade to one of
mc snapshots after 4.6.0 release.
