That's very true.  Thanks for the reminder :-)

Yes.  Sometimes I regret the replies that I have sent too fast.  If I get
time to think and check facts, the response is usually better.

I really appreciate your words.

By the way, it takes a terrible amount of time to write or fix the code if 
I know that nobody will fix it after me.

Another problem - most code was written long ago and not by me.  I'm
trying to enforce rules that were not in effect when the bulk of code was
written.  This means that I often have to clean up existing code, so that
it doesn't serve as a bad example for the new developers.  That takes
time too.
