Advanced chown bug ?

This is with CVS from August 16 on Linux 2.4.19.

-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 0 Aug 30 14:53 foo
-rw-r--r-- 1 fredlwm fredlwm 0 Aug 30 14:53 foo1
-rw-rw-r-- 1 root root 0 Aug 30 14:53 foo2
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 Aug 30 14:53 foo3

I select them with the 'Insert' key and use the 'Advanced
chown' option.

I'm root and set it to rwx r r fredlwm fredlwm.

"Set all"

All files are right, except

-rw-rw-r-- 1 fredlwm fredlwm 0 Aug 30 14:53 foo2

Now I set it to rwx rx rx root root.

The same:

-rwxrwxr-x 1 root root 0 Aug 30 14:53 foo2

Chmod works.
