2.12 release featured in Linux Pratique September

Hi,

The French magazine "Linux Pratique" has done a nice feature around the GNOME 2.12 release. The magazine went to the presses a couple of weeks ago, so unfortunately, shipping the 2.12 release wasn't possible. However, they decided to ship a 2.11.91 LiveCD (thanks to Marcus and Luis for the monster work they did making sure there were LiveCDs of betas) as their cover CD for September.

The magazine has also continued a monthly series of translated GNOME Journal articles with Ken VanDine's audio ripping & burning article translated by Laurent Richard (translated: Extraction des pistes d'un CD audio et gravure sous GNOME), and an article, based on Davyd Madeley's fine work listing the new features in 2.12, presenting the best of the new stuff in GNOME 2.12.

The magazine will be on sale the 16th. http://www.linuxmag-france.org/produit.php?produit=402

ZDNet UK have also done a nice (short) article on the 2.12 release, http://news.zdnet.co.uk/software/linuxunix/0,39020390,39217105,00.htm - their favourite new feature was improved hardware/desktop integration via HAL. A nice touch was the inclusion of the best of Slashdot comments from earlier in the day.

Cheers,
Dave.
