Dave,
In addition, the 2004 survey does not include Ubuntu Linux which comes
by default with GNOME. One can expect the link
distro<->graphicalinterface.

The real fight to get GNOME even higher is to win more distros.

In the page they also mention the 2005 survey that will start soon...
