Yes, thats a good question and to combine that with Elliot's the primal
questions so far are:

* Who is our target audience
* What value can we provide them

In my opinion, I'm not particularly choosy about my audience here.  I
would say it's:

* People disatisfied with their commercial desktop because of:
  * highly commericialized environment, popups, pornographic material
    etc
  * complex applications
  * Overpriced software

Our main target is proprietary desktops in my opinion.  People on free
desktops are already converted and have an opinion on what they want.

What are we delivering.  Real GNOME Apps provide:

* Consistent look and feel
* Simplicity though HIG
* Free as in Freedom
* Stability
* Lack of commercialization


So there's something to start with.
