I suggest using Ogg Vorbis. MP3s are an invitation to distribute non-free
software which would mean violating the MP3 patents for many users.
I also suggest using Ogg Theora+Ogg Vorbis for movies instead of MPG files.
Such files would be something one could play with a system where one would find
GNOME, such as Ubuntu or Fedora Core.
