Hi folks!
So I'm back from Seattle, LWCE is over, and I have officially run out
of excuses not to start writing my content for the Mini-HIG. I have
also run out of excuses not to start acting like a project lead and
bothering y'all as to how things are coming. So please send me (feel
free to copy or not copy the list as you prefer) a quick note to let
me know how things are going with your pieces. If you're not sure
what you should be working on for the HIG, let me know ASAP.
As a reminder: our next deadline is four weeks from yesterday: 00:00
UTC on Friday, 28 September (aka 5PM PDT on Thurs. 9/27), when draft
content for the entire guidelines should be in CVS and ready for
reviewer comments. Ideally, I don't want the reviewers to have to
wait until that day to start looking at things; rather, it'd be good
if we can start putting things in section-by-section as soon as
they're ready. When you do put something into CVS, mail the list to
let us know.
Does everyone on the core team have CVS access now? If not, feel
free to email me content and I'll go ahead and commit it. Just as a
reminder: the CVS root is
:pserver:yourusername cvs gnome org:/cvs/gnome and the directory
we're working in is web-devel-2/content/projects/gup/hig . I see
nothing there but an empty ChangeLog and README so I assume nobody
has committed anything anywhere else yet. (Please do use the
ChangeLog when you commit stuff, btw.)
My status: I will try to have drafts of at least some of my stuff
committed early next week.
Thanks,
Adam
