Got this bug report from a debian user.  Forwarding it here.  Don't
know if this is a know problem or a configuration problem on my part
or something else.

Umlauts (äöüß, possibly other non-ASCII characters, too) are swallowed
in Guppi diagrams. This symptom can be found in Guppi graphs of Gnumeric
as well as GnuCash. Maybe it's a Latin-9 vs. UTF-8 problem. I can
provide screenshots if desired.
