[guppi-list] Guppi compile fails

I'm trying to build Guppi 0.35.5 from sources and it is not working. 
Here's the deal:

RedHat 7.1
kernel 2.4.10
GCC 3.01
Ximian GNOME 1.4
guile 1.4
perl 5.6

ran this:
./configure --with-gnumeric
make all

and got a long list of errors (included in attached text file).  
Does anyone know what my problem is?
