[guppi-list] Hacking continues unabated

In case anyone is wondering, work on Guppi continues to stagger along.
In the last few weeks, much has happened

* I've removed the dependency on CVS gnome-print. It will now build with
either the released gnome-print 0.20 or with the unreleased 0.21pre.

* Drag & drop has been added. You can now drag data objects out of
the data window and drop them onto scatterplot axes (or onto
data selector widgets, which have also been rewritten to be nicer).

* I've fixed tool handling. Rather than having a bunch of bizarre mouse
button bindings, there is now a "tool toolbar". (Which is partially
text now: if anyone is good at drawing pretty icons, let me know.)

* Keyboard bindings have been added. You can use the arrow keys to
pan around a scatter plot, etc.

* Plot axes are now labelled by the name of the attached data.

* There is now a dialog for editting text elements (like the title of
  a plot).

* The configuration tree widget has been re-written so as to suck
  less.

* Many bugs have been squashed.

* Lots of internal changes, which aren't visible now but will
(hopefully, theoretically) lead to a bunch of other cool features
  real soon now.

Anyone brave and curious might try building it out of CVS. Based on
the feedback I get from that, I'll probably release another snapshot
soon.

Enjoy,
-JT
