I got one another off-by-one bug in syntax.c too.

Oh yes, there could be also some other bugs/typos lying 'round in this source file -- it's originally spoilt by me, so it can't ever get a good source file :-)

I'll try gtranslator now and see if it's stable for me.

Hrm; it's been a bit more crashy then the last compiled version by me (-2 days), so.. uhmm :-)
