gtkmm-2.0 uses libsigc++-1.2.  Only gtkmm-2.4 or above uses libsigc++-2.0, so 
you either need to install a later version of gtkmm or install libsigc++-1.2.  
If you do the latter, you will have to use gtkmm-2.0/libsigc++-1.2 syntax, 
and not gtkmm-2.4/libsigc++-2.0 syntax.
