Gtkmm and Sounds

 Hello Folks!

I would like to play a sound, any sound, when my program starts. For starters I did this:

std::cout << "\a" << "\a";

ritht a the bigining of my main(), but it did not work?! no sound I heard.

I am using a Win32 box, can anyone help?
