I am currently thinking *maybe* using glibmm without gtkmm. The nice thing is that glibmm provides many usable things like c++ threads, RefPtr and the wonderful ustring. I am looking at the main loop and am thinking if it might do some work for me. My actual question is: "Are there some good tutorials or documentation to glibmm?" The problem is that the documentation on www.gtkmm.org is quite good for gtkmm a bit patchy for glibmm. If you are lucky you get a half proper doxygen API documentation, but that is more or less it. (I know there is a chapter in the Gtkmm book on idle functions... but that did not satisfy my hunger) Sean
