Refresh Gtk::Label modified by set_text() ?

In separate thread of my Gtk app I am sending data and I need to display them in
Gtk::Label by
set_text(char*) method.
How can I refresh its content?

I have tryed this:
while( Gtk::Main::events_pending() )
Gtk::Main::iteration (false);
But got this
error messages:
