ToggleButton

Hello,

how to set the status of a ToggleButton without emitting any signal?

I tryed with:

mConnection.block ();
mToggleButton.set_active (active);
mToggleButton.unblock ();

which works nicely with any other signals, for example with 
value_changed of a scale widget, but wont work with a Gtk::ToggleButton.

Any hint?
