I'd guess that this is a GTK+ problem, so a GTK+ C test case might be nec=

Yes, I guess that Gtk::Style::set_bg_pixmap() should take a const Pixmap.=
=20

RefPtr::cast_const<> in glibmm 2.8 should be an easier workaround.
