Invisible Button Area

Hello,

Is it possible to create a button that responds only to button pressed event 
on the "text" of the button? for example, if a button has a label
"Testing\nTest"

And these texts are created by the button's create_pango_layout function so 
that the button is invisble/transparent.

Is it possible that clicking on the "spaces" after the "Test" does not 
generate the button press event? since the button is a bounding rectangle 
holding the outline of the texts...
