Have a look at the doc directory for demos/gtk-demo, specifically the
stock_browser example, should be exactly what you need.

Should be in something like
/usr/share/doc/packages/gtkmm2/demos/gtk-demo or
/usr/share/doc/gtkmm2-4/docs/demos/gtk-demo 
If not you may have to download gtkmm from gnome as some distros don't
include the demos/examples completely
