How to get rid of the row navigator in TreeView?

I was wondering if there is a way to remove the row navigation feature in TreeView, i.e. something
that's capable of moving up and down and selects one row at a time.  Not sure what it's called in
GTK.  (Row selector, row highlighter, ...?)
