Also in your configure.in and change PKG_CHECK_MODULES(gtkmm, gtkmm-2.0, 
, exit) to PKG_CHECK_MODULES(gtkmm, gtkmm-2.4, , exit).  Then
go to Project->Configure Project->Build Files and check Project configure.in
