Thanks for the help, and I may have found the macro that returns the window ID, it being GDK_ROOT_WINDOW. However, upon further checking in the header file that contained this macro, it led me to winuser.h where HWND_DESKTOP is defined, and it is defined to be 0. Have I found the correct macro, or is there more to it?
