No, the "exporting to makefile" function is not available anymore with
Visual Studio 2003 (aka. 7.1)
I have VC6 and the latest compiler, so this would give me a place to
start - plus it will enable me to compile from the command line.
You need at least VC7.1 to use gtkmm.
I'll try to create ASAP a basic gtkmm demo project for Visual Studio 2003.
