[gtkmm] Disappearing table elements

Hi,

I have a complicated GUI that contains threads and has intensive
graphics (image processing app). I have a table in a VPane. After some
time (could be hours) the table elements disappear. The tooltips are
still accessible and button actions still work even though I can't see
them. Expose events don't bring the elements back! This happens on both
windows and linux. I'm using 2.2. I've posted this to the gtk list as
well. Has anyone seen this behavior before? Under what circumstance
would an expose event not redraw them?
