[gtkmm] TextView sizing question

I've got a TextView inside a ScrolledWindow to allow the user to enter
multi-lined text entry.  I'd like to force this widget to be of a certain
size.  Which method to call to accomplish this?

I've checked the online docs, examples, and class references, but didn't
find what I was looking for.

Just a hint or pointer would do me just fine.
