[gtkmm] libglademm and Gtk::MenuBar

hi,
I have to problems with libglademm

1. if I load the glade-xml file and get a window and run it every window that was
   defined inside the glade-xml file is shown! How can I stop libglademm from
   showing every window?

2. I'm trying to set the Gtk::MenuBar callbacks but I didn't found a way
   to set the callbacks if the menu already exists! Do you have an example
   for setting up Gtk::MenuBar callbacks?
