Good day,
My friend have been building latest GTKMM on win32 platform.
So, now we have packages with fully functional GTK, GLIB, MM (also
dispatcher included) libraries.
I don't think it's a good idea to provide alternative binaries packages for
gtk+ win32, except if you want to have a bunch of emails on the mailing
list about people complaining with link or runtime errors when
building/using gtkmm. Please contact Tor Lillqvist directly and ask him to
put them online on his site, if he wants to. When this will be done, we can
remove the restrictions on gtkmm for the win32 platform.
Unfortunatelly he is too lazy to make a patch for DEF files that save
whole GTK functionality on win32. Please, consider his offer to get fixed
files as attach and apply patches yourself. (Files not attached yet.)
I don't understand : your friend is too lazy to submit patches but I
suppose he spent at least 2 or 3 hours compiling glib/atk/pango/gdk and gtk
on win32 !!!
Also, couple instructions how to build it on win32:
1. Downgrade MSYS to latest stable version (probably 1.0.8).
2. Do not update binutils for MINGW (use old ones).
Please contribute a msys related patch to README.win32 for gtkmm. I also
add a look at your dispatcher.cc contribution and it looks fine to me.
Once again, you should open a bugzilla entry, submit your file to this
entry and ask for a review by the guys who originally wrote Dispatcher and
by pipes specialists (on win32).
