[gtkmm] gtkmm not found?

Hi everyone,

I've searched the mailing list archive to see if this has be asked before, 
but didn't see it, so forgive me if it has.  I have gtkmm 2.0 installed on 
my machine. I have been trying to install bannanPOS--but no luck so far.

bhpos_commonlibs-1.2.2 #export 
PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig:$PKG_CONFIG_PATH
bhpos_commonlibs-1.2.2#./configure

checking for gtkmm = 1.2.10... configure: error: Could not find gtkmm 
anywhere (see config.log for details).

I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong, or is it the source code for the 
bananaPOS that is at fault?
