[gtkmm] static linking in gtkmm2 & static libraries

hi

i want to do a static link of my gtkmm application..i have gone 
throught the FAQ..but gtkmm static libraries arent installed on my 
machine..where can i get the static libraries..?

also..what problems will i face while doin a static linking..?

If you have any other ideas..please let me know

i am using gtkmm-2.0.2, gtk-2.0.9, libsigc++-1.2..

please help..
