[gtkmm] General gtkmm resources

Dear all,

I am new using gtkmm and I don't know how to apply general configuration 
 settings for every widget class, not for every individual widget. For 
instance, I would like to set a default font, or background, for all the 
classes of type Entry or Label or "MyClass". On the other hand I have 
not found the format for the GTK resouce file either.

Please, could you help me or give me some pointer to find this information?
