I've create a metapackage installer for gtkmm2, gconfmm, and

for Mac OS X. It installs them and all of their dependencies in /opt.
These are based off of darwinports-based Portfiles I made for
all three.
I know almost nothing about MacOS X packaging, but I'm slightly
concerned
that you are not using the Fink system that I've heard is popular. For
instance, If Fink distributes a GTK+ package, and darwinports
distributes a
GTK+ package, will they clash?
No, they won't clash. If you want Fink packages, you can try to
convince the Fink people to do it. I give up.
Murray, get in touch with me and I'll set it up so you can
download it
from me, or tell me where to upload it.
Do you want to host it, or do you want gtkmm.org to host it?
I don't have anywhere to host it really, so if gtkmm.org could, that
would be good.
If there are any patches required then I'd like to see them in
bugzilla. Do
you still need the patch that you posted here?:

Of course that was in response to an Apple gcc bug, but it looks like
we
have no way to track their bugs. Do we just have to hope that they
will fix
it in the next release without any sign that they are doing that?
Apple fixed the gcc bug, and other than the libtool patch and some OS
X-specific compiler flags, these are based off of the official tarballs
And I think you needed to patch the generated libtool files, so I'd
like to
see some communication with the libtool maintainers about that.
Oy. Based on prior experience with Gnu people, I'm not going to like
this....
